At The Beach

It's summer time and it's time to head to the beach.... right? Well maybe not THE beach.
Thanks to some quick thinking when Pontchartrain Beach closed some of the original stuff from the beach still exists today. Here the sign from the Zephyr as it sits in Kenner City Park.
I want the Mega Zeph sign, I called it! Or maybe I Jocco for the roof of my house. He can squirt water at the mailman. Either one is fine. Someone better start scooping up stuff from Six Flags over Jazzland because I guess it's not opening up again.
What does a person have to do to get a little summer fun in New Orleans?!?!?!

Online store open again and New Northshore location

The online store is OPEN again. It had been closed for a few days for some work updating the latest pics. Now you can get all the latest pictures from your computer.
Also, I have a new location on the northshore that you can check out my photos. Nonna's Bakery on hwy 190. If you're in that area stop in.

Not Lafitte's Blaksmith Shop

I should really start calling this Kevin's Photo of the Month.
The building in this photo is across the street from the famous Lafitte's Blacksmith shop on Bourbon St. I don't know what it is but it is BADLY in need of repair. The balcony doesn't even have guard rails. I think this building contrasts well to the "Disney" perfect recreation of Lafitte's is across the street. It also shows the state of the quarter post Katrina.
